HC Deb 31 May 1968 vol 765 cc283-4W
Mr. Hobden

asked the Minister of Transport in what circumstances permission has been given to Brighton Corporation to alter the generally accepted traffic control system at roundabouts, that is to give way to traffic from the right, at the roundabout at Brighton Aquarium.

Mr. Bob Brown

They have decided not to apply the advisory rule to traffic approaching from the west because of the presence of a signal controlled pedestrian crossing some 20 feet before the roundabout. To hold back this traffic at the roundabout could block the crossing in summer.
