§ Mr. Priorasked the Minister of Transport whether he will now give a decision on the application of the parish council of Hopton-on-Sea to place traffic lights and/or a speed limit on the A12 road; what has been the delay in reaching a decision; and why letters from his Department have failed to deal with points raised in letters by the parish council.
Mr. Bob BrownOver the past year, we have tried to meet the difficult problems of this village by a number of measures. These have not sufficiently improved the situation and we now intend to propose in addition a 40 m.p.h. limit. We could not reply fully to the parish council until the effect of the various other measures had been assessed.
