§ 47. Mr. Burdenasked the President of the Board of Trade to what extent it is the policy of the Government to continue to divert industry to areas other than the South-East, in view of the statement of the South-East Economic Planning Council that such a policy will have harmful effects on the economic stability of the area.
§ Mrs. Gwyneth DunwoodyWe shall continue to give special attention to the expansion of industry in the development areas as a means of securing balanced economic growth in the country as a whole. The South-East Economic Planning Council have said they understand and support the need for the Government's present regional policies.
