§ 75. Mr. John Leeasked the Minister of Transport whether the operation of the new rule at roundabouts to give way to traffic on the right has had an effect on their capacity; what is the percentage decrease or increase; and whether the number of accidents has increased or decreased since the rule has been in operation.
Mr. Bob BrownThis rule has been generally welcomed. Evidence from the Metropolitan Police District is that in virtually all cases capacity has either increased or remained the same. Accidents on roundabouts in that district have dropped by 4.9 per cent.
