§ Mr. David Steelasked the Secretary of State for Scotland, whether he has approved plans for the removal of 31 trees beside the A6091 road at Langlee.
§ Mr. RossThe felling of these trees is part of an urgently needed road improvement scheme which I have approved in principle for grant assistance. The County Council assure me they will see to it that no more trees are removed than need be and, together with Gala-shiels Town Council, are considering the possibility of replacement planting.
