§ Dr. BrayWhile recent events have indicated that there is scope for greater competition in at least some sectors of this field, manufacture by Government may not be the most effective way of achieving it. It is open to manufacturers to apply to my right hon. Friend the President of the Board of Trade for assistance under the local employment Acts towards the establishment of manufacture in a development area.
