§ Mr. CallaghanIn general, prisoners may contribute to the National Insurance fund as non-employed persons. A few employed outside prisons under the hostel scheme already contribute as employed persons. As prison earnings increase, the Government will keep under review the practicability of enabling other prisoners to contribute as employed persons.
