§ Mr. Roy JenkinsI refer my hon. Friend to the published balance of payments figures. Extensive measures have already been taken, through the tax system, and by exchange control, the Control of Borrowing Order and the Voluntary Programme to restrain exports of capital from the United Kingdom and to ensure that private investment overseas is financed in ways which place the minimum burden on our balance of payments. I have no statement to make about further action.
