§ 47. Mr. Delargyasked the Secretary of State for Commonwealth Affairs whether, in view of the peace talks now proposed by both sides, he will now reconsider Her Majesty's Government's policy on the export of arms from this country to Nigeria.
§ Mr. George ThomsonAlthough the question of arms exports is kept under-continuous review, I have nothing to add to previous statements about our policy. At the same time, we warmly welcome the direct contact between representatives of the two sides about possible peace talks which has been going on through the good offices 'of Mr. Arnold Smith.
