§ 57. Mr. Speedasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what he estimates to be the total additional cost 230W to local authorities as a result of the imposition of the Selective Employment Tax upon contractors working for them.
§ Mr. SkeffingtonSelective Employment Tax has increased the costs which tenderers have to take into account in tenders by about 2 per cent., and will increase them by a further 1 per cent. from next September. Tender prices need not, however, be affected to the same extent.
