41. Mr. John Hall

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT a table showing consumers' expenditure at constant prices per household and per head of population for the years 1946 to 1967, inclusive, estimates for 1968 and 1969 corresponding to the forecasts given in Table 13 of the Financial Statement 1968–69, and the annual average increase for the periods 1946 to 1951, 1952 to 1964 and 1964 to 1967.

Figures of consumers' expenditure per head of population are given in the table, which, with permission, I will circulate in the OFFICIAL REPORT. I regret that corresponding figures of expenditure per household are not available.
