§ Mr. Ogdenasked the Minister of Health (1) if he will name the members of the Conference on Organ Transplantation;
(2) if he will now list the individual qualifications of the members of the Conference on Organ Transplantation and the organisations they represent:
(3) if he will now invite Members of Parliament to membership of the Conference on Organ Transplantation;
(4) if he will now publish a Report of the deliberations of the Conference on Organ Transplantation to date;
227W(5) if he will now list the dates, times, and attendances of the meetings of the Conference on Organ Transplantation;
(6) if he will now state the date of the next meeting of the Conference on Organ Transplantation;
(7) what arrangements he has made to ensure that individuals or organisations who are neither members of, or represented on, the Conference on Organ Transplantation, are able to submit evidence, and to make representations or proposals, oral or printed, to the Conference.
§ Mr. K. RobinsonI would refer my hon. Friend to my replies to my hon. Friend the Member for Wandsworth, Central (Dr. David Kerr) and the hon. Members for Chelmsford (Mr. St. JohnStevas) and Antrim, South (Sir Knox Cunningham) on 13th February, and to my hon. Friend the Member for South Shields (Mr. Blenkinsop) on 25th March. The conference is to hold a second meeting early next month. It has not been set up to receive and assess evidence but to deliberate privately. My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland and I see no advantage in extending its membership at this stage. We are considering what future arrangements might be made to secure advice and guidance on problems associated with organ transplantation and related matters.—[Vol. 758, cc. 1127–1128.
