§ 52. Mr. Eyreasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will list the areas which have reached their absorptive capacity in respect of new immigrants; and what proposals Her Majesty's Government have for diverting new immigrants from these areas.
§ Mr. CallaghanIt will be part of the urgent review of areas of special need which I am at present carrying out to determine where the pressures are greatest as a result of the presence of immigrants and what can best be done to mitigate the effects of this.
