Mr. Sheldon

asked the President of the Board of Trade (1) what proportion of British exports were represented by British exports to the Commonwealth, plus Rhodesia and South Africa, in each of the years 1960 to date; and what was the average proportion in the periods 1920 to 1938 and 1950 to 1959;

(2) what proportion of British imports were represented by British imports from the Commonwealth, plus Rhodesia and South Africa, in each of the years 1960 to date; and what was the average proportion in the periods 1920 to 1938 and 1950 to 1959, inclusive.
