§ Mr. Onslowasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what representations he has made to the Home-Grown Cereals Authority about the free distribution of their publication Ceres; and what reply he has received.
§ Mr. HoyI understand from the Authority that it was not in fact their intention thatCeres should be regularly circulated to all Members. The Authority felt that in launching the new publication it was right that a copy of the first edition of this new publication should be sent to all Members, bearing in mind the importance of agriculture 32W as an industry and the importance of cereals within that industry.
Having given this initial publicity, however, the Authority inform me that they had planned to restrict the subsequent circulation to Members who could be reasonably identified as being likely to have, through the nature of their constituency, a closer interest in agricultural matters and that this is now the basis of the circulation.
