§ Mr. Tudor Watkinsasked the Secretary of State for Wales whether he will indicate the reasons for the accidents on the Heads of the Valley road; and how many have taken place within Breconshire since the whole road was completed.
§ Mr. George ThomasAs on most roads, the accidents have mainly been at certain junctions, at roundabouts, on long gradients and in built-up areas. The reasons are at present being investigated; 45 per cent. of accidents have been caused by animals and this is a factor which we shall be considering in our general study of the accident situation. The answer to the last part of the Question is 59, of which 20 accidents involved personal injury.
