§ Mr. Swainasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he will give a general direction that any oil-burning power stations for which he is responsible are to be used only for peak load operation, in order to reduce imports.
§ Mr. RossNo. The arrangements under Section 6 of the Coal Industry Act, 1967 which are at present being operated by the Scottish Electricity Boards provide for the maximum substitution of coal for oil in the generation of electricity.
