§ 61. Sir D. Rentonasked the Minister of Transport whether she is aware of the increase during the past two years in the amount of litter and debris on the verges and in the central reservations of the trunk roads leading into London; what steps she proposes to take to restore the appearance of these trunk roads; and whether she will make a statement.
§ Mr. CarmichaelWe have no evidence of any general increase over the last two years in the amount of litter and debris on trunk roads around London or reason to think that our agent authorities or the local authorities have neglected their responsibilities for keeping highways clean.
If the right hon. Member has any specific case in mind, and will give me particulars, it will be investigated.
