§ Mr. FernyhoughEmployment estimates are made collectively for the industries covered by Minimum List Heading 239 of the Standard Industrial Classification, that is "Other Drink Industries", but not for whisky distilling alone. At June, 1967, the latest date for which figures are available, it was estimated that 24,900 persons were employed in these industries in Scotland. I am not prepared to make forecasts of employment or unemployment.
