§ 56. Mr. Roy Hughesasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if, in view of Great Britain's failure to join the Common Market, he will now seek to increase trade with the countries of Eastern Europe.
§ Mr. MulleyI do not accept the assumption in the first part of the Question. Our trade with Eastern Europe has increased by more than 40 per cent. over the last three years and we are anxious to increase it further. I would also refer my hon. Friend to the reply given by my hon. Friend the Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Trade to the hon. Member for Hamilton (Mrs. Ewing) on 27th February.—[Vol. 759, c.326.]
