§ Mr. Pounderasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what is the policy of Her Majesty's Government with regard to Recommendation No. 518 on the International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies which was adopted by the Consultative Assembly of the Council of Europe on 1st February, 1968; and if he will instruct 191W the United Kingdom Permanent Representative in the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe to vote in favour of the proposals contained in this recommendation.
§ Mr. William RodgersThe United Kingdom already makes an indirect contribution to the Centre through its contributions to the Council of Europe and to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development. I can hold out no hope that Her Majesty's Government would be able to contribute further.
