§ 46. Mr. Tinnasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what steps he is taking to protect students against the effects of increases in charges proposed by university and college authorities.
§ Mr. Gordon WalkerI refer my hon. Friend to the reply given to the hon. Member for Cornwall, North (Mr. Pardoe) on 4th March. From now on proposed increases in charges by the universities and colleges will have to be considered in the light of Government policy on prices and incomes which will be described by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Economic Affairs today—[Vol. 760, c. 28.]
§ 50. Mr. Arnold Shawasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether he will refer to the National Board for Prices and Incomes all increases in fees in students' halls of residence imposed during the period of restraint on students' grants.
