§ Mr. CarmichaelThe maintenance of these roads is the responsibility of the local highway authorities in Somerset. It will be for these authorities to decide how much they will spend on this service in the light of the advice which has been given to them both by my right hon. Friend and by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Housing and Local Government.
