§ Mr. PentlandIf the re-marriage took place within three years of the divorce becoming absolute the previous period of marriage can be taken into account in the determination of entitlement to widow's pension. It is unusual for a widow to be denied benefit because of the combination of circumstances described. If the hon. Member has a particular case in mind perhaps he will write to me.
