§ Mr. TaverneIn England and Wales in 1967, 272 persons were prosecuted and 243 convicted. The courts' orders ranged from absolute discharge to a fine of £75 I have no reason to think that the maximum penalties under the Scrap Metal Dealers Act, 1964 are inadequate.
