§ Mrs. Ewingasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will take steps to deal with the windblow problem in Scotland following the storm disaster, by taking powers to curtail production of forests in unaffected areas, subsidising all windblown haulage over 50 miles and making available interest-free capital to allow the build-up of stocks in reputable mills repayable after four years approximately.
§ Mr. RossI am considering the advice of the Forestry Commissioners on the report on the Windblow Action Group which suggested possible measures to deal with the problems arising from the January storm.
