Of these, a single toll is payable on the crossing of the Severn and the Wye. The others are not major estuarial crossings providing exceptional benefit in time or distance to the user, and are, therefore, not tolled under current policy. Tolls are also payable on the Tyne Tunnel and on a number of earlier crossings.
