§ Mr. Harold LeverInterested firms in Scotland and Wales are regularly invited to tender for work required in their own country, and they also have the opportunity to tender for work required in England. Firms situated in appropriate areas receive special attention under the Government Development Areas scheme. The extent of any increase in the amount spent on printing by Her Majesty's Stationery Office in Scotland and Wales will depend on the interest shown in Her Majesty's Stationery Office contracts by firms in these areas and on their ability to compete on service, quality and price.
