§ Sir M. Galpernasked the Minister of Health, in view of the Government's decision to discontinue the supply of milk to secondary school pupils, what study he has made of the nutritional value of the drinking of milk after the age of 11 years.
§ Mr. K. RobinsonThe only completed studies so far of the contribution of milk to the total diet are those made in the annual National Food Survey by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. These figures relate to families and do not provide information about a specific age-group. My current nutrition surveys of pregnant women and the elderly, and the survey of schoolchildren which is to begin in April, will provide relevant data.
