§ Mr. Ellisasked the Secretary of State for Economic Affairs, what action he has taken to implement the recommendation in Report No. 55 of the National Board for Prices and Incomes that the margin allowed to distributors should be cut in any price rises to the consumer due to devaluation.
§ Mr. Frederick LeeThe recommendations of this Report are concerned with distributors' margins in relation to those prices recommended by manufacturers for resale of their goods. The Board's recommendation will be taken fully into account by Government Departments in their examination of proposed increases in manufacturers' prices. Departments are also bringing the findings of the Report to the attention of the principal industrial and commercial interests concerned.
