HC Deb 07 March 1968 vol 760 c162W
Mr. Hooley

asked the Minister of Technology what calculations are being made of the sums which should be set aside in each of the next three years to finance British participation in European scientific and technological enterprises.

Mr. Benn

It is not usual to publish expenditure calculations other than through the Parliamentary Estimates.Departments' forecasts of future expenditure, which include allowance for the cost of commitments to participate in international projects, are not published. The question of setting sums aside only arises when Parliament has voted the money, which it does annually.
