§ Mr. John Fraserasked the President of the Board of Trade to what extent during the two years ended 31st December, 1967, have the dividends paid by publicly quoted companies decreased and the profits of those companies decreased in relation to the volume of sales.
§ Mr. DarlingI have no firm figures. Between 1966 and 1967 there was probably a decrease in dividends paid, but some increase in these companies' profits in relation to the value of sales.
