§ Mr. RossIn Aberdeen the number of crimes made known to the police increased from 4,635 in 1963 to 6,896 in 1967, an increase of 48.8 per cent. The corresponding figures for Glasgow were 42,921 and 45,349, an increase of 5.7 per cent. The 1967 figures are provisional.
