§ Mr. Roy JenkinsThe Treasury have given their approval, under Section 1 of the Currency and Bank Notes Act, 1954, to a proposal by the Bank of England to issue bank notes for £20. I understand that the Bank of England are today announcing plans for an entirely new series of bank notes which will include this denomination.
