§ Mr. Pardoeasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science, if he will ensure that local education authorities in dealing with the present student unrest, comply with the regulations governing awards made to students on a university or comparable course, which are laid down by his Department for administration by local education authorities; and if he will amend the regulations so as to ensure that these awards should not be withdrawn by the local education authorities for reasons solely connected with political activity.
§ Mr. Edward ShortI have no reason to believe that authorities are not complying with the Regulations.
On the second part of the Question, I think an amendment of this kind is unnecessary.
