§ Mr. Whitakerasked the Minister of Overseas Development what new financial aid Great Britain offered to India and Pakistan at the Consortia meetings organised by the World Bank in Washington from 21st to 24th May, 1968.
§ Mr. Prentice£35 million was pledged for India and £8 million for Pakistan for 1968–69. As in the case of previous aid to India and Pakistan, this will be in the form of interest-free loans repayable over 25 years with a grace period of 7 years before repayments of capital begin. Disbursements during 1968–69 will be charged to the Overseas Aid (Bilateral) Vote in due course.
