§ 36. Mrs. Renée Shortasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he is satisfied that white Commonwealth 41W immigrants who are at present allowed to enter this country and work here for two years without applying for a work voucher are meeting their obligations to pay Income Tax on their earnings; and if he will take steps to tighten up the regulations in order to insist on Pay As You Earn in all such cases.
§ Mr. Harold LeverI have no evidence to suggest that the individuals referred to avoid their obligations under P.A.Y.E., but if my hon. Friend has any information on this point I shall be glad to consider it.
