Mr. Edward M. Taylorasked the Minister of Technology (1) what is the latest estimate he has made of the cost to manufacturing industry of changing over to the metric system of measurement;
(2) what study he has made of the benefits and disadvantages of the policy of changing to the metric system of measurement; and if he will make a statement;
(3) what is the policy of his Department regarding the adoption of the metric system of measurement through the purchasing activities of nationalised industries and Government Departments.
