§ 33. Mr. Hazellasked the Minister of Technology what inquiries he has made in the leather tanning industry; and what 4W response he has had from firms in the industry.
§ Mr. FowlerResponsibility for the industry generally lies with my right hon. Friend the President of the Board of Trade, but the Ministry of Technology has carried out a study, with his agreement, of the industry's materials handling problems, and is now engaged on an operational research project in one of the companies in the industry. We are also considering with the President of the Board of Trade what further action to take to assist the industry.
