Stoddart-Scottasked the Minister of Transport, in view of the rapidly increasing amount of heavy traffic now using the A659 road between Hare-wood Bridge and Pool-in-Wharfdale and the increasing number of accidents on this narrow twisting and dangerous road, he will apply a speed limit between Athington Church and Pool Bridge.
§ Mr. CarmichaelThe imposition of a speed limit on this length of road would be, in the first instance, the responsibility of the West Riding County Council as highway authority. If it formally seeks our consent to a limit, we shall, of course, carefully consider its proposal.
