§ Mr. Edward ShortOf the estimated 13,400 children over two and under 5 years old in Havering in January 1967, 484 (including about 120 in five nursery classes) were attending maintained primary schools. There are no maintained nursery schools in the borough; the one independent nursery school had 34 pupils, of whom 11 were under five.
