HL Deb 30 July 1968 vol 296 c300WA
LORD CROOK

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether the Minister of Housing and Local Government have received the report called for as to the gas fires built into cavity walls (Question in cols. 843 and 844 of 20th June); and, if so, what is the nature of the Report.

LORD KENNET

The Ministry have received an interim report of the action being taken and I am sending a copy of this to the noble Lord, in view of his interest in this matter. It says that the local authorities are continuing to check houses in their area for this fault and will ensure that all element of risk to health is removed. This risk is considered slight and the great majority of houses are not affected.

House adjourned at fourteen minutes past nine o'clock.
