§ Mr. Newensasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will now announce the outcome of the examination of the horticultural industry undertaken during 1967 in consultation with the farmers' unions.
§ Mr. Cledwyn HughesA summary record of the examination is being published today and I have arranged for copies to be placed in the Library of the House, The examination was a factual study of the present structure and workings of the United Kingdom horticultural industry and of the developments which have occurred since the first examination was conducted in 1965. We have discussed the outcome of the examination with the farmers' unions, and I wish to record the Government's appreciation of their valuable and objective collaboration. It is intended to conduct a further examination in 1970.
