§ The Prime MinisterYes, I have placed in the Library a transcription of the tape-recording of the speech to which I referred in answer to a supplementary question by the right hon. Gentleman the Member for Barnet (Mr. Maudling) yesterday. As hon. Members will see, the phrase I used about future coal consumption was "in 1970 the coal industry will still be supplying half the total energy requirements of this country". That statement derives from, and is fully consistent with, the White Paper on Fuel Policy (Cmnd. 3438).—[Vol. 769, c. 269.]
