HC Deb 23 July 1968 vol 769 c65W
Mr. Speed

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what estimate he has made of the number of homes which will have been built in Warwickshire and the borough of Tam-worth, respectively, to house Birmingham overspill from 1951 to 1971, inclusive.

Mr. MacColl

780 houses had been built for overspill at Tamworth up to the end of 1967. It is hoped at present to continue building at a rate of 700 houses per year up to 1971.

In Warwickshire some 5,000 houses have been provided to date, and it is hoped to provide about another 13,000 by 1971.
