§ Mr. Biggs-DavisonQ8 and Q9. asked the Prime Minister (1) whether he will ask His Excellency the Governor of Rhodesia to obtain information from the de facto Government in Salisbury regarding terrorist activities and terrorists holding British passports; and whether he will publish the result of his inquiry;
(2) what progress has now been made towards a settlement with the de facto Government of Rhodesia.
§ The Prime MinisterAs to the hon. Member's description of the illegal régime in Rhodesia I would refer him to the judgment of the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council this morning. As to information, Mr. Smith and his colleagues know very well that the Governor is available to pass on to us any information they wish to bring to our attention. As to the possibility of a settlement, I would refer the hon. Member to the many recent 99W speeches and Answers to Questions given by my light hon. Friends and myself in this House.
