§ Mr. Simon Mahonasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will issue a circular to all local education authorities recommending them to make public any embargo placed on parents who send their children to preparatory 102W schools, and who wish their children to take the 11-plus examination and then to be aided financially by these same local authorities.
§ Miss BaconNo. If parents want their children to be educated outside the maintained school system, it is for them to discover by local enquiry the circumstances in which their local education authority may be prepared to assist with the cost.
