HL Deb 19 July 1968 vol 295 c656WA
LORD MITCHISON

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What is the longest time taken to answer a Question put down in this House for Written Answer during the last five years or any other convenient period?

LORD SHACKLETON

My noble friend's own Question would seem to have taken the longest time to be answered in the last five years, although as my noble friend knows, there were several meetings with him in the relevant period between May 8, 1968, and July 11, 1968. Mention might also be made of Lord Saltoun's Question on Tinted Spectacles which was put down on December 3, 1964, removed from the Order Paper on March 16, 1965, without having been answered, replaced as a Starred Question on March 23, 1965, and answered as such on March 25, 1965.

House adjourned at sixteen minutes before three o'clock.
