§ Mr. Geoffrey Lloydasked the Minister of Health what was the total of deaths from lung cancer in the last year for which figures are available; and what is the estimate, projecting present trends, of death from lung cancer at the end of the century.
§ Mr. K. RobinsonThere were 28,252 deaths from lung cancer in 1967 (23,548 males and 4,704 females), giving rates of 999 and 189 per million population respectively. So far as the future is concerned there are so many imponderables that no reliable projection can be made.
