§ Mr. James Davidsonasked the Minister of Overseas Development what has been the number of requests for experts from the Corps of Specialists since 1964; and in what fields have these been requested.
§ Mr. PrenticeRequests cover a very wide range of appointments and do not normally specify a source of recruitment; the Corps is only one of the sources used. Since it was set up in 1965, 39 requests have been met from it; in addition, 19 members are still abroad completing commitments entered into before they were accepted for the Corps.
The fields involved are Agriculture; Administration; Architecture and Planning; Audit; Co-operatives; Engineering; Income Tax; Law; Marketing and Valuations.
